Bicycle related photos taken with low-res, low-cost Pencams. High-res freaks not welcomed here :) This is a group about the Rivendell Blériot bicycle
Louis Blériot was born in Cambrai, France on July 1, 1872, and studied engineering in Paris. He was an inventor, an aircraft designer, and a pilot. He is best known for his flight over the English Channel on July 25, 1909, the world's first flight over a large body of water in a heavier-than-air craft.
It also happens that Rivendell Bicycle Works makes a bicycle named after Blériot. This group is for an annual ride in which Blériot owners ride their bicycles over a large body of water, take photos, and stick 'em on Flickr.
But you have to ride on July 25... or as close to it as possible.
Better yet, ya know what? Just post some shots of your beautiful bike, and we'll call it good. Cool?
Putting faces to names for the internet BOB list. This group is dedicated to images of "UJB", or "Universal Japanese Bicycles" - that utilitarian group of lugged steel bicycles that arrived in the USA during the "bike boom" of the 70's/80's. Panasonic, Univega, Sekai, Nishiki, etc.
These wonderful riding and useful machines existed during the interesection of high demand and favorable exchange rates, and can often be found at reasonable prices. Problem accessing data!MagpieRSS: Failed to fetch http://baisez-le.blogspot.com/atom.xml (HTTP Response: HTTP/1.0 404 Not Found

Todd Van Campen on average-guy commuter bicycling MAKE is a quarterly publication from O'Reilly for those who just can't stop tinkering, disassembling, re-creating, and inventing cool new uses for the technology in our lives. It's the first do-it-yourself magazine dedicated to the incorrigible and chronically incurable technology enthusiast in all of us.
